COPPER CANYONS | CHIHUAHUA

BARRANCAS DEL COBRE | CHIHUAHUA

It is a system of seven ravines located in the Sierra Tarahumara in the state of Chihuahua. This canyon system is internationally known for being four times larger and almost twice as deep as the famous Grand Canyon in Arizona.


If you have ever thought about entering the Tarahumara world and traveling through the region, an ideal way to do so would be aboard the Chepe train, which crosses the canyons every day on the Chihuahua-Los Mochis route. An unparalleled experience!

You can also go backpacking and explore the canyons on foot in the company of a guide. To enter the canyons you have to be mentally, physically and logistically prepared.
