Discovering the World Through the Lens: Santiago Ricardez

Since childhood, I have felt a deep connection to nature and the outdoors. I grew up fascinated by television shows that showcased the diversity of wildlife and the stunning landscapes our world has to offer. That early fascination planted the seed for what would become a passion for exploring the most remote corners of our planet.

My early days watching shows like Animal Planet and Planet Earth sparked an insatiable curiosity about the natural world. As I grew older, that curiosity turned into a thirst for adventure that led me to try sports and outdoor activities I had never considered before.

It was in the warm waters of the Mexican Caribbean that I found my true home. Surfing, snorkeling, and beachcombing became my favorite pastimes, and every wave I rode and every trail I explored reminded me of the beauty and freedom found in nature.

In 2017, my life took an exciting turn when I held a camera for the first time. Photography became my medium to capture the ephemeral beauty of each moment and share my experiences with the world.
